Napolitano queried on lack of ‘Fast and Furious’ probe

Congressional Republicans are trying to expand the scope of questions over the disastrous ATF gun-sting operation “Fast and Furious” to Homeland Security Secretary Janet A. Napolitano, asking her why she never investigated even after suspected guns showed up at the scene of a dead U.S. Border Patrol agent.

Having repeatedly excoriated Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr., who Republicans said either knew or should have known about the gun-walking operation, party lawmakers this month have turned attention to Ms. Napolitano, saying she also should have asked questions once two AK-47s sold as part of the operation were found at the scene of the December shooting death of Agent Brian A. Terry.

“People on the ground knew that he was gunned down with “Fast and Furious” weapons. Three months went by, what did you do between December and February to find out the details about his loss of life?” Rep. Darrell E. Issa asked Ms. Napolitano on Wednesday at a HouseJudiciary Committee hearing. “Aren’t you outraged here today that you – if you were not informed – that you were not informed that weapons allowed to walk into drug dealers’ hands had killed one of your agents, and during those three months they kept it from you?”

            I agree. The United States dept’s of Injustice need to be overhauled. We have Judges ruling from the bench forgetting their oaths of office. The AG’s office is obviously very tainted and racist i.e. the Black Panthers. If it had been whites doing the same thing at a polling place where blacks voted, believe me Eric Holder would have them rope, hog tied and branded! We have a totally corrupt congress except a few and most are wimps. Sharia law is creeping in the states and instead of it being allowed it should be outlawed – in fact it is according to our constitution however this corrupt administration and the liar in chief do not respect the Constituion are administer by it as the rule of law. We need to clean house in Congress -kick out the Usurper and get rid of a few departments, i.e. Dept of Energy, Education, the EPA, cut all dept’s by 10%; cut Congress pensions to one time only pension contributed by members just like the rest of us – that alone would cut some debt. We have a government totally out of control like a train running down the track at a 1000 miles an hour!

            In most every School District the moto is “Screw UP…. Move Up!” That is why they hire mostly ex-military people for Administration Positions and Superintendents because they are trained to take orders without any questions and they all spend like drunken sailors because they all have that $400 dollar hammer and $300 dollar toilet seat mentality. That is why School Districts have monumental waste, corruption, bloated budgets, and our test scores are in the crapper.
            Every School District is an upside-down pyramid. Way “top heavy.” That is were all the money is wasted. But where is the first place the axe comes out when they want to ballance that “bloated budget?” The bottom, or the point that holds it all up.
            They go after Food Service, Transportation(Bus Drivers) and Custodians. The very backbone of all Districts. The very people who make it safe and healthy for your kids to attend and learn. I for one, would rather have more of those folks around than a bunch of overpaid do nothings protecting their useless jobs, which are not raising our kid’s test scores one point, because they belong to that “elite protect our own asses because we have degrees and they don’t” fraternity! It is appalling and the root of every School District’s failure to produce students that can succeed in “the real world!” and can ballance their checkbook without a calculator.

            I’m tempted to say that there had to be more to the story of the BP agent then just “raising” the kid’s arms. There is a good reason for “raising” a detainee’s arms IF they’re being uncooperative. If all the agent did was inflict a modicum of discomfort on this kid then he got hosed. But it begs the question, “Two YEARS” for raising the detainee’s cuffed arms? Something’s not right with this story. There’s got to be more to it than that. If their isn’t, then this is another travesty of “injustice.”

        Sorry Kansas, but it’s not just the Dems.I e-mailed Boehner with my concerns with regard to Obama’s abuse of power and complete disregard for the Law of the Land. He responded about three days later with the e-mail version of a form letter. Nothing I had written about was addressed. I have also e-mailed other republicans in Congress and received basically the same reply. If they cared they would be doing something more about it than flapping their jaws. The ONLY republican who has responded with anything that addressed my concerns was Florida Congressman Lt. Col. Allen West.           I think NO lawyers should be elected to ANY political office. We should elect former military persons, Doctors, business people,
          ordinary citizens, educators (the ones that believe in what the Constitution says), ranking law enforcement persons,etc.
          Enough of lawyers and their crap. Also, term limitations. 4 years in congress, 6 years as a Senator, 4 years as President and no being re-elected the next time around. Once out, your out.       The only possible reason for committing such an attrocity on humankind is to discredit the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. in a move to ban private gun ownership. There is no other possible explanation, because ATF and DOJ KNEW they weren’t tracking the weapons. HOW COULD THEY? And even if the could, it still begs the question: WHY WOULD THEY?

      I won’t stop shouting until all involved are fired , tried, and sent to jail. Of course I’m just one person, but hopefully the rest of the citizens in this country will demand justice in this matter as well.

    I have been in Arizona 61 yrs… Janet Napalitano was our governor for 8 yrs. Before she received an upgrade in her job from governor to the “eye of homeland security” she was well aware of our border problems, in fact she went to Washington DC asking for more border agents and the security fence building for the state of arizona. Since under the thumb of Obama, she has now flip flopped into saying – that there is no illegal problem – (boy, what a liar she is ). I am sure she is well aware of fast and furious and the shooting of one of our agents, and I am very sure that Obama and Holder knew of the fast and furious program that failed miserably.       If an Airline pilot failed to do his job properly and got his passengers harmed or killed, the government would find them guilty and fine them and imprison them. It is no different then, if Napolitano did not do her job or Holder didn’t know what was going on in his department or Obama didn’t know what was going on, because he has briefings on every conceivable thing that goes on in this country and across the world.       Saint, I believe you came up with a sensible wage scale for all U.S. Presidents, Vice Presidents, and members of the U.S. Congress and Senators. Their wages shouldn’t exceed between $75,000 down to $50,000 unless it involves ‘physical labor.’ Men and women serving in the Armed forces of the United States should be paid between $80,000 to $200,000 depending on grade and physical labor with additional monetary compensation for combat duty. I think this would be a fare monetary exchange between politicians and Military Personnel. Just a thought or wishful thinking if you like. But it really would be fair to our military people don’t you think?

    The sad state of affairs is: What is going to be done about any of this and who will step up and do what has to be done ? It is sickening to read all these comments and nod in agreement but know that no one or no legal challenge is going to be instituted to bring it to a just conclusion. I can only imagine what the end shall be if left unchecked. Our kids and grand kid’s future is at stake. God save America…He is our only hope and lots of us have kicked Him aside. We don’t have much of a chance, So sad.

    Jon Voight was a guest on the Mike Huckabee show on April 10th, 2010. On the show he read an open letter to America and to barrack Obama where he discussed the future of America and the need for us all to get involved in our individual states Tea-Party movement in order to save our nation.

    Below is the text of the letter:

    “In one year, the American people are witnessing the greatest lie that is cleverly orchestrated by President Obama and his whole administration. The lie is a potent aggression that feeds the needs of people who either have not educated themselves enough to understand the assault upon us all or the very poor and needy who live to be taken care of.

    President Obama feeds these people poison, giving them the idea that they are entitled to take from the wealthier who have lived and worked in a democracy that understands that capitalism is the only truth that keeps a nation healthy and fed. Now the lie goes very deep and President Obama has been cleverly trained in the Alinsky method and it would be very important that every American knows what that method is.

    It is a socialistic, Marxist teaching and with it, little by little, he rapes this nation, taking down our defenses, making new language for the Islamic extremists.     All school districts are multi million dollar businesses. What do they hire to run them but some incompenent science teacher who knows nothing about finances. I know of 2 school districts that were going broke. They told the state school board to go to hell and hired business managers. Within 2 years both were in the black and building new buildings that were paid without rasing taxes and even had money left over. Get rid of the National and state school boards of “noneduction”, the EPA, and all the other idots in power. Also the congress and president and legislative branches need to be put on the same retirement and medical programs as we are and then watch them work. As our forefathers said the congress, etc. were not meant to be lifetime jobs. Get in term limits and we will clean up this mess before we are under communist rule.

    For me it began with the smoking debate. From smokers rights to smoke anywhere, in the spirit of fairness, non smoking areas were set up, then because of the danger of second hand smoke? Laws were passed that turned the tables to where it is rare to find a place you can smoke indoors and some localities are trying to ban smoking anywhere but your own residence? look for that too, after we have to protect our children from second hand smoke.

    The same appeasement will cause us to lose our gun rights, hmmm a federal government that dusted off a failed policy of the Bush administration THEY DROPPED after losing a few weapons down south.

    Somewhere Neville Chamberlain is shaking his head, while in the circle of hell reserved for mindless sheep who obey? hmmm the bleating of the equivalent of “2 legs bad, 4 legs good”
