To be allowed to exercise as important a privilege as voting without showing positive (photo) ID is ludicrous. Recent election shenanigans have clearly demonstrated voter fraud is rampant in some areas. We have to show ID to fly, enter certain buildings, make certain purchases, etc., etc……..but not vote??????? Get real!!!! You can get a photo id in a number of places such as libraries and dps. Yes, in addition to issuing drivers licenses they also issue identification cards.

Bottom line is without vote safeguards then duplicate voting, busing voters in from other states to vote more than once, the dead vote, illegal alien voters, and legal alien voters (much of the Democrat voting base) would be eliminated. Then we have rigged voting machines creeping in and being under control of SEIU and other allies of the democrats/liberals. Throw in the political football called zoning/districting and outcomes for areas can be almost predetermined. For instance, inner big metro areas have black ghettos and blacks vote in blacks. In Houston we have a gay zone/area…thus a lesbian Mayor. The surrounding areas of Houston don’t get to vote for the mayor thus outcome somewhat controlled.

Things should be simple, one identified person of age = one vote in their place of residence. Districts/zoning should be geographical, not by favoring certain groups/interests.

Stalin once made a statement that basically was something like this… who cares how the people vote and who they vote for, what matters is control of the count/counting. There is a little something called the 10th amendment, ie state’s rights. If only our home legislators wake up to the fact, Obama CANNOT legislate what laws we have regarding voting. First, congress would have to pass legislation giving him the right to tell all states what kind of voting laws they can have, and since other states already have photo ID requirements, that would never pass. Then, regardless of what anybody else has, we are the ones in control if we only wake up and realize it. The constitution no where gives any executive branch the authority to decide what laws a state can make that apply to its own citizens. We in South Carolina need to recognize that we can ignore the DOJ. They have no authority to tell us how to handle our voting requirements. In fact, we need to go one step farther and demand that Obama prove he is eligible to vote before he even gets on a SC ballot.

Where does Odumbo get the authority to dictate to South Carolina how we vote. I have been showing an ID since I first voted in 1963. I never found that to be an inconvenience. It seems that one of the political parties wants to allow people to vote who, if they had to show an ID, might be found ineligible. The illegal in the White House might not be re-elected in that case. And, by the way, it is obvious that he has no knowledge of the Constitution, nor cares what it says.

Cutting these programs would only account for roughly 40 hours of our debt, but why spend a penny on this stuff?

 $120 million in retirement and disability benefits to federal employees who have died
 $30 million to help Pakistani Mango farmers
 $550,000 for a documentary about how rock music contributed to the collapse of the Soviet Union
 $10 million for a remake of “Sesame Street” for Pakistan
 $764,825 to examine how college students use mobile devices for social networking.
 $113,227 for a video game preservation center in New York
 $765,828 to subsidize a “pancakes for yuppies” program in Washington, D.C.
 $100,000 for a celebrity chef show in Indonesia

They refuse to believe that, if greater numbers of legitimate people vote, the harder it will be to stuff the ballot boxes. They are convinced that this is all a fantastic fantasy dreamed up by a bunch of alarmists. The day of the rude awakening is coming. All they care about is being able to watch their sports or soaps. They have an ostrich mentality. They stick their heads in the sand hoping it will all go away. This is the product of apathy and they will soon be paying the price for it when it is too late to do anything about it. Apathy put Obama and his followers in office and apathy will keep them there. I have to show photo id and voter’s registration card here in FL. One year I didn’t have my registration card, they would not let me vote. I also had to prove the first 2 years that I was a Fl resident, so i to show 3 forms of id just to register.
I’ve always had to show id to prove who I am (an american). Did not know that there were exceptions and that some states do not require proof of voters registration.

Yup, just one more ploy to make it easier for unlawful voters to cast a ballot for ‘O’.

In Delaware, where the Electotal Board denies vehemently that no voter fraud is committed, there are recorded votes by 118 year old people, who we know died decades ago and, since the current law requires that two national elections must pass with an unrecorded vote before a name can be struck from the voter’s list, that same dude will continue to vote at 122 years old. By the way at 122 he’ll be able to run up the schools stairs, open the heavy door to enter, come up to the table and state his name without any vascillation, be confirmed as being on the list of voters, then vote Democrat without wearing glasses, or asking for help and no one can stop him. However, the State of Delaware, The First State’s Democrat Board of Elections will continue to insist that there has been no voting fraud in Delaware and refuse to make any changes. “Manda Cojones” that we have the audacity to condemn voter fraud in any foreign country and send inspectors to verify the legality of their elections.

If 36 states pass voter photo ID laws and petition for an Amendment to the Constitution, then the federal government must make it for the entire country. Contact your state reps and request them to do so.

First, the justice does not have the authority to tell a state anything. Let me repeat that, the justice department does not have the authority to tell a state to do anything. Apparently the feds have something to say about voting laws in the states because just last Monday, the Supreme Court ruled that Indiana’s law on photo IDs was constitutional. Maybe the Administration just doesn’t like SC.

Maybe it’s time for South Carolina to announce to the rest of the country that Obama will not be permitted to run on any state ballot without proper proof of his natural-born citizenship. If they do it now, hopefully other states will follow. Then the do-nothings in the Supreme Court will finally need to take meaningful action instead of woefully complaining that the case somehow fell off the docket! If I were in Gov. Nicki Haley’s shoes, I would, personally, send obama-soetoro an email and tell him to “stick it” – -then, I would go ahead and make certain the voter ID law was fully enforced in my state – -IT IS the right of individual states to decide such matters, it is right in the Constitution!

Where in the U.S. today does anyone go and NOT need to show proof of who there are? They ask for ID at the Drs. office! In Wisconsin even those with real developmental disabilities must go to the motor vehicle department to get an identification “driver’s license” type ID. You can not get on a plane without one. On one of our talk radio programs this week a caller said he saw someone IN A CEMETARY with a clipboard. Hmmm!! Gotta wonder if he was getting names for his recall list in order to cheat to recall our govenor. Why can the left NOT give a valid reason against voter ID? Might it be…THEY CAN’T CHEAT THEN!! Since the 2010 election we have seen our nation collapse with morals raging from the gutter. It is just outrageous what has come out of Washington DC. O.K., so I live in the North. I did live in Charleston, South Carolina and Roswell & Marietta, Georgia. So I think I Know a little about the south and the north. One thing they both have are Afro Americans, to be politically correct. One thing I have noticed is that there are two different types of Afro Americans in both places. The south has blacks that are polite and courteous to others, while in the north that is not always the case. In the south the blacks might not have gotten a good enough education to successfully pass a drivers license exam, but I think that they can still get a State ID. In the north the same is true, but the educational possibilities are a little better. In fact our State, Wisconsin, will bend over backwards to help anyone to get a basic education. The problem is that they have no adequate home life with parental supervision. And they would rather take what they can get for free rather than even try to work. And why spend the money on a valid ID when you can but tobacco, drugs or alcohol with that money.
Our State has passed voter ID. And, if you think about it, how many grave stones have voted and been tabulated in the past? And who pushes that strategy? Those that feel their income may be threatened by not using questionable tactics to insure that the status quo might not be upset.
When our new Governor, Scott Walker, was elected the unions bused in people from other States to protest in our Capitol against his, so called, union busting tactics. In reality it simply removed the mandatory purchasing of health and dental insurance from one, and only one, company. Now our schools are allowed to shop for the best price and benefits. They are still spending millions of dollars on a massive recall campaign to try and return things to THEIR norm. The unions were getting kickbacks from the insurance company to make sure they were firmly in place.
No, as time has passed, it is coming to light that school districts are accomplishing two things. They are saving millions, school district by school district. And, as one husband and wife teacher couple frankly told be, the “Dead wood” that was protected by ten-year is finally being dismissed yielding a better education for our children that will later be the voting people.
Too many people think that one vote doesn’t really matter and a lot of the populous doesn’t take the time to research the candidates.

Complaining on this site won’t get you anywhere,what you need to do is talk to your Senators, or Congressmen and let them know your true feelings on his matter. Be honest with them and tell them how you feel. I hink something will get done about the matter.

Why is the Democrats that always want to let anyone vote? They have set it up over the years so these people are dependent on the government . They will vote 10 -20 – 30 times and without proof of who they are they will get away with it.

I bet some of those same folks that they are concerned about not having an Id to vote have the proper ID to sign up for welfare and cash the welfare checks.

This discourse is necessary because those who would violate the intent of the Constitution will use every technique to push their agenda including voting illegally. When the Constitution or the laws are clear then they will distort the interpretation of it or bluff their way. There will be a clear answer.
Article V of the Constitution gives the states the right to amend the Constitution by way of an Article V Convention which can propose amendments and then have 38 states ratify it. We at The Jewel of Democracy will be proposing an amendment to emphatically correct this voter identification rule. It will be in the form of an email containing a petition to your state legis-lature. If they agree and 34 states then request that Congress call an Article V Convention, Congress must call an Article V Convention into being and your delegates to it will do what is most proper. If a proposed amendment is passed by the convention, it is then sent to the 50 states for ratication. If 38 states ratify it, it then becomes the law of the land.

Today the driver’s license is used for identification and in too many instances it is assumed that it also implies that the holder is a citizen which is often not the case at all. We need an amend-ment that requires that the document which bestowed citizenship be either presented at the place of registration to vote. In the proposed amendment of which we speak there will be listed all documents which bestow citizenship.

We expect that there will be an absolute requirement that in order for a person to get a permanent voter identification they will initially show proof of their birth to citizen parents, a certificate of naturalization, or such other documentation that is proof of citizenship. If you are a citizen, proof is already available from certain previous actions by you. You would have had to show proof of your citizenship under several circumstances, such as applying for a passport, or applying for certain jobs, also when first enlisting in the United States military, so it isn’t as if this requirement presents a totally new imposition upon a person.

If perchance circumstances have rendered a birth certificate totally unavailable, it can still be replaced with an affidavit signed by two persons who certify that they personally knew of your birth, the date, and your parents. All such substitutes for a birth certificate will be listed in the proposed email petition.

We would be most happy to receive any suggestions that you might wish to offer. Frankly we have learned a few things from this blog and responses to it. So keep it up.

I support South Carolina’s photo I.D. voter cards & I believe the State has the right to enforce it. However, a secondary solution to this problem is to require candidates to show their I.D. information to ensure they are Constitutionally qualified to run for POTUS before they are allowed on the State ballot.

Perhaps then, Obama might be a disenfranchised black in South Carolina?

I was never for a National I D card but there is little the government doesn’t know about us anyway. At least if that was what was necessary to be shown to be allowed to vote, that would prove you had the right to vote. The National I D Bill has passed anyway.

A short while ago, I had a very vivid dream (hopefully NOT prophetic) where, early in the summer of 2012, the people had had enough and had taken their protests to the streets at different political events (YOU KNOW, like we used to have a right to do…). Our “beloved president” in his passion to protect our nation and its citizens, declared total national martial law. He ALSO CANCELLED THE FALL 2012 ELECTIONS as part of the martial law. Then he sent his own private army of “federal deputy marshalls”, Interpol police, and UN soldiers (who had no ID nor warrants, because Obama said they didn’t need them since they were acting on his word.) around to all homes and confiscated all weapons. People who protested their homes being invaded were killed or packed off to the FEMA detention camps. They were declared to be terrorists just because they refused to obey an “Obama law”. Also, when the “marshalls” left our house, one said, “I see you are Christians. You don’t need to worry about any of your other stuff here. You won’t be needing it where you are going. ”

What a dream. I couldn’t go back to sleep. The way things are already set-up by this corrupt administration (including congress), there is no reason this could not happen, in the real. (My former husband, now deceased, was a Lt. Col in the Army (reserves at that time) He had (and dI now have) maps that , back then…1987) showed the country divided into different sections and different “camps-to-be” identified on it. Sir, I totally agree with your thoughts about ‘nationalities’ that preceeds the identity of Americans who were actually born on American soil? We who are born in the United States are either Americans or we’re not! These doubts about American nationalities is the reason why we have a lack of strong unity in this country. As youngsters, our parents use to bring us to Fifth Avenue in New York City to watch “I am an American Day Parade” where nothing else but American Flags passed in review. I always took pride in my American heritage and my Judeo-Christain principles. Every time I want to cash a check or use a credit card – I have to show my ID.  If a person has a drivers license – that is an ID. In most states if a person does not drive and is of legal age[18] or [16] in others a non-driver ID is issued.  So where is all this about being black?  IF the law is for all persons – why the hell is the jerk in the white house making a big deal about it. Other than buying votes there is no other reason .

You have to show your ID for firearms, ammo,insurance,passport, also present an ID to prove your age for alcohol.
