Obama Wants to Continue Secret Talks With Taliban in Europe

The Obama administration hopes to restore momentum in the spring to U.S. talks with the Taliban insurgency that had reached a critical point before falling apart this month because of objections from Afghan President Hamid Karzai, U.S. and Afghan officials said.

One goal of renewed talks with the insurgents would be to identify cease-fire zones that could be used as a steppingstone toward a full peace agreement that stops most fighting, a senior administration official told The Associated Press — a goal that remains far out of reach.

U.S. officials from the State Department and White House plan to continue a series of secret meetings with Taliban representatives in Europe and the Persian Gulf region next year, assuming a small group of Taliban emissaries the United States considers legitimate remains willing, two officials said

            You make a lot of sense. I have a buddy that came here in ’96 from Poland and he makes the same observations you have. I am not naieve and I fully understand what he is saying. Herr Captain Flick is correct. I work with people and they say “Obama sucks, but he will probably get re-elected.” What kind of crap is that? Our society has regressed into “being spoon fed and coddled” and we have become complacent and the bad guys know it. After 12/7/41 it was “kick the Japs ass no matter what”. After 9/11 it was get the ones who did it but only for a year or so. And then everyone got tired because the war was draging on. I am pissed, I have a 9 year old and am not happy where my once great Country is headed. I am stocking up on ammo, food supplies and water and water filters. We all better do that and get to know your neighbors and become a team as we will need that in our future.

            There are only 3 ways to defeat this cancer that plagues our nation:

            First, you can work within the system by uniting. Only through united numbers will any vote count. After the elections of 2010 the Tea Party caucus consisted of only 71 members in congress. Tough to get anything done against a 535 member body! Harry Reid stopped 76 bills submitted by the Tea Party members that included a balance budget and term limits amendment, massive spending cuts, a freeze in the size of government, etc that would begin to cut off the head of the serpent. Give them an ‘E’ for effort and a ‘D’ for results and for God sake stop looking for instant gratification. This has been building up for many years and will not be solved tomorrow.

            You can tell when the neo-left socialist fear something. They vilify and throw stones, lie and use propaganda to undermine it. They have done exactly this to the Tea Party, all the way up to the president. Many TP members cannot take their heat and go silent. Others stop trying and fall out. The famous words “The only thing you have to fear, is fear itself” is true. Never allow the neo-left to say ‘Mission accomplished”.

            We must know our enemy to anticipate what is coming. Obumo is merely a puppet. Many on the left in congress have announced they are bailing (including Pelosi) indicative that something big is about to happen in 2012. When Pelosi said she wanted to retire to the hills, my eyes lit up…this is not a ‘hills’ woman.

            There is more that I could say about working within the system but you should get the gist of what needs to be done.

            Second, we can band together and peacefully march against this government. Not the way the OWS have but the way the Tea Party did in 2009. If the numbers are large enough the main street media must cover it, even if negatively. We must be ever mindful that there are FEMA camps all over the US now that can hold 100’s of thousands of Americans. The barb wire fences and tilted in rather than outwards indicating the true purpose is to hold people in, not people out. Marching against an evil government takes guts and courage and will endure pain and suffering. How many are willing to go that way?

            Third, you can take one or more states and have them declare they are ceding from the union. Pressure would need to be put on governors. This was a Perry threat in Texas. This will immediately trigger civil war just as it did before. We are no match for the US military and if you have been alert you know that Obumo has already stripped Generals and Admirals from the armed forces and placed his puppets in their place. We cannot win a civil war and the enemy would have won everything they wanted…destruction of our nation. This is not a reasonable alternative.

            The point is we must know our enemy. The pen is mightier than the sword. Stop the garbage mouth postings and learn to counter the enemy with calm reason and logic.

            God save this great nation and may we prevail.

            We have a good chance to do something but it will take work and time. Who certifies the presidential candidates in your state? If enough people raise He** about Obama’s Kenyan father, his fake birth certificate and SSN so that he cannot get on the state ballots, he’s done. Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his crew of investigators will be coming out with their documentation and research in January, why not use that to throw a monkeywrench in his state applications for the ballot?             First of all it would be great to get him out on the eligibility issue – then everything he has done and signed becomes null and void. We have to go to the polls and vote for the person who does win the primary even if it isn’t your choice – any one of them is better than Obama!             We sent troops to Afghanistan to destroy the AlQaeda training camps 10 years ago, this was done in short order, why are we still there ? The Tailaban didn’t cause 9/11 or other terrorist acts up to that time, they were no threat to the U.S. The Afghan government is corrupt, playing both sides with our tax payers money and lives.             Despite all our endeavors, we are essentially at the same point as when we began, attempting to conquer a large area of rocks! We STILL do not have the support of the people, because we do not understand that Afghanistan is just a mountainous area inhabited by a number of loosely affiliated tribes.

            These tribes routinely change allegiance from one side to side, depending on who offers more at the moment., in all warring or economic encounters. They change in midstream, at times. Honor means something different to them, than us.

            All previous invaders have also wasted men, munitions, materiel, and money attempting to conquer them, to their eventual failure, now, including the U.S. Apparently, we don’t learn from others’ mistakes.

            What you suggest would take a Constitutional Convention. Harry Reid would block any attempt to call for one just as he has with the Balanced Budget and Term Limits amendments submitted by the Tea Party caucus.

            The only alternative to working within this very corrupt system is to put pressure on your govenor to cede your state from the union. If two or more states did this it would result in civil war just as it did before. This is hardly an era where muskets and cannon balls could be effective, so we would lose…and the neo-left would win.

            Our only chance is to work through the system. Who is organized to do that…the hated Tea Party movement of mostly gray haired people who still remember that this country was once beautiful.

      Hmmm, seem to remember the Bush administration talking with the Taliban and giving them 43 million in aid to help fight the drug war in May 2001. Bush and Clinton talking with the Taliban prior to 9/11 on ways the Taliban could save face if they gave us Bin Laden since he was responsible for embassy bombings in 1998. And we won’t even go into the support Jimmy Carter began for extremists prior to and increasing the odds of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan or the training and arms Reagan gave directly to Bin Laden during that war. It’s not just about Obama folks. This stuff has been going on for much longer than just 3 years and if we elect “Anyone But Obama” it will continue.           SIOUX CITY, IOWA: Ron Paul told Iowa voters on Friday that he would not launch a preemptive strike on Iran because “they don’t threaten our national security.”

          “If some other country thought they had to go to war with them, that is their business,” he said, adding there is no proof Iran is building a nuclear weapon.

          A recent IAEA report said that Iran’s pursuit of nuclear technology over several years could be consistent with the building of a bomb. And Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta gave Iran “about a year, perhaps a little less” before it could have a nuclear weapon.

          Paul’s position on Iran is one that has drawn criticism from his GOP rivals.

          On Friday, Paul was responding to a question from an Iowa voter who asked the Texas Congressman whether he could conceive of a situation where he would preemptively declare war on a country.

          Paul admitted that the president does need the consent of Congress to declare war, but did say, “If battleships are off our shore, an imminent attack, the president has an obligation to respond.”

Bush got elected with same kind of attitude I see today for Romney and Gingrich. I do not believe our country is in better shape or safer. Obama is simply the next pawn in the statists endless march to give DC more power, more control, and have many people profit off our endless warring. I don’t want to see another pawn elected and yes that means I believe George Bush was a pawn.

          A man came up to me outside the White House one cold winter evening and whispered, “the republicans are not your friends”. I wanted to hit him but when I got home I began to wonder what in the hell he meant. That’s when I started going further down the rabbit hole and that’s why I urge everyone to spend a lot of time checking things out themselves and not to stop researching when they find the answers they want to believe.           What you choose to forget is that the Taliban have been supporting international terrorism for many years. When they took over in Afganistan they began allowing terrorist training camps to be built on their soil. They allowed internation drug producers to use their people to grow poppys for the opium that was being sold to Europe and America.

          The Russians invaded Afganistan in the hope of establishing a friendly government that would allow them to gain access to the Indian Ocean through Pakistan. The Taliban organized forces against them and we supported those forces. Bin Ladin was only one commander out of thousands that we supported. Just as we did in VietNam we abandoned the Afganis to their own fate and they fought a civil war being supported on all sides by the Russian and Chiness. Thousands of Afganis died because we Americans left them with no support. If we had stayed in Afganistan to help them re-build their country it would have cost us less in treasure and we would most likely not had to go to war to stop those terrorists that moved into Afgnaistan.

          While the Taliban are supporting international terrorism now they did not do so in the past. They are radical Islamists and live under an extreme form of Islam, but they were not supporting the drug trade in the beginning, and while they were enforcing their extreme view of Islam, it was their right to do so. Do we allow foreign countries to dictate our policies inour religions??? While killing women and children for violating their Sharia Law, it is their law. I would fight against that law being enforced here inour democracy but to go to war to stop thier policies when they had not directly attacked the US was wrong.

          When they did attack the US by supporting the Al-Quida we had a right to attack them. Bush made the decision to attack the Taliban while trying to support those Afgans who did not follow them. We won that war but did not followup with the support necessary to get the Afgan people to support their government. When we fight a war it is the policy of this country to re-build the defeated country so that they will not riseup against the government established in power. We failed to do that, and like the Russians we are paying the price. Now the dems want to pull out as we did in VietNam and the people of Afganistan will pay the price as the people inVietNam did when we left.

          Obama is attempting to negotiate with tribal leaders in the hope to end our committement there. What he will do is re-establish the Talaban as the leadership in Afganistan and will re-establish a base for radical Islam. Pakistan is on the verge of falling to radical Islam, and Iran is attempting to establish themselves as the leaders of the new Islamic Caliphate. If we allow Islam to defeat the west in Central Asia and the Middle East our grandchildred and their grandchildren will face a greater Islamic threat. Islamis fight Christianity in Africa to finish the expansion of Islam in Africa. The fight in Nigeria is just beginning for the west but if we allow Islam to expand south into Central Africa the rest of Africa will fall quickly. The tribal governments of Africa do not have the power to stop that expansion, and when it reaches South Africa they will have enough power to overwhelm them unless they use thie rnuclear weapons to stop them. Yes South Africa has nuks. Anyone who does not believe that needs their head examined.

          So do we stop our fight now or do we continue and hope Islam is not the new Nazi threat to the world. Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. It is fast becoming a majjor religion in Europe. France has allowed Sharia Law to be established in French courts, and they have allowed French cities to be overtaken by Muslim governments. As Europe falls to Islam is slow drips, Islam is growing in our country. Islam is establishing small communities here that are forcing local governments to recognize their right to enforce Shria law. They are forcing our federal government to recognize thier right to live under Shria Law because we allow freedom of religion. While Sharia Law is a religious law it should never be allowed to override civil law in the US.

          Obama is negotiating with the Taliban in the hopes of getting out of Afganistan. If this happens we will abandon them as we are doing to Iraq. We will force them to give in to their enemies in order to survive and we will see the Islammic Caliphate be born. Everyone believes Obama is a Muslim. I believe he is like Trotski who believed religion is a tool government can use to control the people. He supports Islam when it is convienient, and proclaims hiimself a Christian when he needs the support of the “useful idiots”. He will negotiate an out for the dems, and we will see them abandon Afganistan. He will use that as a way to win another four years, and we will see the dems spend tons of money to buy back favor from the American people.

          So while negotiating with the Taliban is a good thing at face value. We will pay the price for generations to come if we do???

I was out playing with my grandson (5 years old) yesterday, and during his stay of several hours, I could not help but think about his and my two grandaughters ( 11 and 13 years old) future and what that will be faced with. I had knots in my stomach all day as I “burned with anger inside” at what these idiots have done to our country, and as I have read and learned more and more of the facts of what the “real picture” really looks like. The last three years in our country is a realistic picutre of a “nation in rapid decline” and clearly indicates what can “easily” happen when a vast majority of its people have been deceived, lack understanding, are naive in their thinking and actually believe that the path to maintaining true freedom is to desire that the government controls everything, and anxiously wait with their hands fully extended for “something for nothing” or a “free ride”. Their deep motivation is to take instead of give. After the past three years of the “stripping” of this country by: (Just line them up……the list of the “scumbags” is long, as well as the items of destruction they have achieved in a short time.), NOTHING should suprise the true blooded American, that lpves this country and “appreciates and enjoys” our freedoms and individual rights. In addition, anyone who is setting back thinking that someohow this is going to “self-correct” itself will soon realize, if not already, they need a MAJOR REALITY CHECK!. America has and will continue to witness the “unthinkable”. Most true blooded American’s are waking up now, and every direction they look with very, very few exceptions (especially in our elected leadership and politicians), they see corrupt, egotistical, self-centered, mostly money and power oriented individual’s and organizations, who care NOTHING about this country or its citizen’s well being.       I love to hear when an American gets on fire for our country and starts doing research. In 1996 I moved to Virginia and thought it would be cool to learn about the founding of America and what goes on up in DC. I have since spent thousands and thousands of hours in research. I search liberal and conservative websites, foreign sources, congressional records, et al for kernels of truth. At one point I spent two years driving from Richmond to DC every weekend to protest in front of the WH because I did not like what I found. I pray you continue your journey because our problem goes back much farther than 3 years.

      Shortly before Bush II was innaugurated in 2001 I made three predictions. 1) We would have some kind of major attack by an extreme group within our borders. 2) The economy will tank and stay that way. 3) We will see people of devout faith in all religions increasingly demonized. Then I decided to focus on raising my young family. I was frustrated because most people I spoke to showed little interest in the decay of America. When Bush got elected many who I thought understood the nature of the problem just stuck their heads and in the sand and pretended the problem went away.

      I see hope in this election for the first time in 10 years. I have always admired Ron Paul as a result of the research I’ve done. Here and now there is a chance for us to begin the long road back to an America I can be proud of again. He not only has a chance, he can get elected easily despite all the distorted claims by talking heads. There are many people on all sides of the political spectrum who will support him. It’s hard to argue with the Constitution when you are an American.

      He simply will not be able to do many of the things he would like to do because he has a congress to deal with, but he WILL make a beginning and use the bully pulpit of the presidency to raise awareness. There are many who claim we can’t risk having Ron Paul as president because of his foreign policy. After doing enough research into our foreign policy over the years I don’t happen to agree with them, but even if they were right I say it won’t matter much to my children and grandchildren if they are safer because they most definitely will not be free. We do not have an American party and a Socialist party. We have two statist parties that only differ in some of the smaller details. Ron Paul will begin to change that.

      Just look at the example we have in office now, there are so many reasons to remove this Imposter that it is too confusing to start.
      At no time in the history of this country has there been a more sinister, under-handed, evil, lawless administration in control of our government. This President has made end runs around everything they have done in governing this country without regards to the laws and the Constituion of our country.
      He has appointed incompetent people in every position he has filled, from the Vice-President, Treasury Dept., DOJ, Homeland Security, Supreme Court appointments to every other department he has named people to.
      However you look at it, this President has been a TOTAL FAILURE and the question of re-electing him is or should be totally out of the question. Any REPUBLICAN would be better than what we currently have.

If the “talks” do bring some sort of made up peace agreement (fake of course) it will make obama look good in the eyes of the uninformed & he will get voted in again, he & our enemies win again.     The surrender is complete now. The Hindu reports that the Obama administration has turned to Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the Muslim Brotherhood’s leading jurist, to mediate secret negotiations between the United States and the Taliban.

    I wrote about Qaradawi at length in The Grand Jihad and, here at NRO, have regularly catalogued his activities (see, e.g., here, here, here, here, and here; see also Andrew Bostom’s “Qaradawi’s Odious Vision”). For those who may be unfamiliar with him, he is the most influential Sunni Islamist in the world, thanks to such ventures as his al-Jazeera TV program (Sharia and Life) and website (IslamOnline.net). In 2003, he issued a fatwa calling for the killing of American troops in Iraq. As he put it,

    Those killed fighting the American forces are martyrs given their good intentions since they consider these invading troops an enemy within their territories but without their will. . . . Although they are seen by some as being wrong, those defending against attempts to control Islamic countries have the intention of jihad and bear a spirit of the defense of their homeland.

    Good for Obama. Everybody is in agreement that we cannot achieve our goals in Afghanistan, whatever these goals may be. We have to get out but we cannot just leave. Agree to an armistice and then withdraw our troops. To get to that point we have to talk to our adversaries. Nobody knows what Afghanistan will look like a few years after we leave but it doesn’t matter whether we leave in 2014 or 2024. Only ten years later we will have sacrificed thousnads more of our great young men and women and will hve driven our economy ever deeper into a hole.
    But do not abandon Afghanistan as we did 20 years ago after the Taliban helped us to drive the Soviets out of their country. Let us not forget that we built them up, with the help of Pakistan.
    And please do not accuse me of being a friend of the Taliban. I think they are the scum of the earth and the Afghan people, especially the women, would be off much better without them.
    But the Afghans have to sort it out. We cannot do it for them.

What I believe Obama is trying to do is, grasp for straws. Obama is hoping that he can get the Taliban to the Peace table, in hope to but an end to this war. If he can achieve that, it would make him look like a president of Foreign Policy, which may get him re-elected 2nd term. He is hoping to be able to take America’s mind off of his domestic policy, and the economy. Even tho he is attempting to talk with the taliban, I don’t believe it will work, not when there is talk about letting go these top taliban officers from quantanamo. What will most likely happen is, Obama will let them go, and no peace talk will come about, therefore the Afgan Taliban will get there top killers back while laughing at the Obama Administration.

    Whatever changed Mr. Obama’s religious pursuasion from Judeo-Christian to Islamist? Enter Malcom X’s association with Nation of Islam’s Farrakhan. Obama’s indoctrination into Islam and the Qu’ran is understandable since Judeo-Christian religion is the ‘colonist’s’ and not the ‘anti-colonist’s’ Black Power movement. Islam was Mr. Obama’s answer to ‘colonialist’s’ Judeo-Christian heritage in the USA. A Cliphate WILL be built at the World Trade Center in New York. Sharia Law will apppear (slowly) through newly adopted “Blasphemy Laws.”

    In conclusion, a strong argument can be made for the shredding of US’s Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights by this administration, it’s minions and fellow travelers. Coupled with this, is a systemaic destruction of American’s: 1)religion, 2)education, 3) government and 4) financial-capitalist system.

    If this isn’t a powerful synopsis of what a re-elected Obama will do during his second term, then american’s are really “sheep being led to slaughter.” Wake-up America and vote massively for a true constitutional conservative American. God Bless America. Amen.

    Listen guys, go and buy a model 1911 45 cal pistol! It is the best for personal defense in a hand gun. Cops and military don’t want you to know that the 45 has a greater knock down power than their Beretta’s, and Glock’s that are 9mm. With a 45 you will knock em down and keep em down!
    Another thing the cops don’t want you to know is that a lead slug will penetrate the ballistic vest that cops wear under their uniforms! That is why I recommend a 12 gauge shotgun and 1000 rounds of ammo for it! The only people who will survive this will be those who approach you wearing military armor like the troops wore in Iraq. However a well p;laced round will even take them down! There is no body armor covering the face! It is vital you practice on head shots at 400 meters or less.

    Next I suggest a 30-06 M1 Garand or a mini-14 for long shots and sniper activity. The mini-14 has a 1000 yd trajectory that is flat and makes it a great sniper rifle. If your rich enough you can buy a snipers 50 cal rifle and take down targets at a mile away! In California where they have a ban on 50 cal, you can buy the new rifle that was created to fill in for the 50 cal. It is as accurate and your range is just as good as the 50 cal. Get the most powerful scope you can take it to the range and zero it in at the farthest most point in which you have 100% accuracy!

    Lastly, Where you can carry a M-1 or mini-14 you might prefer a weapon that can lob lots of bullets down range. If that is the case buy a AR-15 or AK-47 buy thousands of rounds of ammo and keep it in a cool dry room for storage and you will be set but think of all the wasted bullets. I am a firm believer in “1 SHOT 1 KILL” but also I don’t believe in just throwing lead in “HOPES” of a kill!

    A person with the guns I listed can hold off a army for a long time, if he is also on high ground with a 360 field of fire!

    The first thong we have to do is disallow money to buy an election. As long as money is the way politicians are elected, we’ll never have a government that gives a crap about the common people. Lincoln didn’t have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out but he was elected and was a pretty good president. We need to go back to those days where money is not a need for elections. Millionaires don’t give a damned about us and more politicians than not are in power in the congress and senate. We’ve got to change that so decent people can get in there and do the job.Lastly, these positions should not be highly paid jobs and should be secondary jobs to their regular jobs.
